The Colfax Guitar Shop has been serving the Denver area for over 12 years and now looks forward to a great future under new owner Dave “Doc” Dougherty.
Yes, rumors are true that former owner Scott Baxendale has moved on to concentrate on his custom guitars. While Scott will be missed, he is at ease knowing that the shop he created will continue to serve the public with the same care and attention the he himself demanded under veteran repairman Dave Dougherty.
The shop is also expanding the retail side to better serve our customers. Straps, picks, capos, strings, cables, tuners, humidifiers and more should be available soon. Custom items can be ordered as well as most pickups (Seymore Duncan, Fishman, EMG, etc).
We look forward to seeing you at the shop and hope to offer more services in the future.

The Colfax Guitar Shop offers the best professional service for working/traveling musicians who need their instrument to be ready by show time.
Our full service repair and manufacturing facility is conveniently located across the street from the Bluebird Theater in Denver, Colorado. We are also close to the Ogden and the Fillmore theaters. We will pick up and deliver to these venues.
If you ever have any guitar needs, please contact our shop. Traveling bands can contact the shop from the road and arrange “rush” services to accommodate your schedule! Please give as much advance notice as possible.

Noon to 6PM – Tuesday thru Saturday
Closed: Sunday and Monday
We try to accommodate everyone! If you ever need to come outside of these hours, give us a call and we will do our best to arrange a more convenient time.
